You might be wondering, Why not just buy pre-cut pineapples from the fruit stall? The reason is simple: due to hygiene concerns, its better to cut a pineapple ourselves at home. This is because we can’t be so sure about the cleanliness of the pineapple-cutting process at the fruit stall, can we?

Here, I’m going to share with you a 5-steps guide on how to cut a pineapple quickly, significantly reducing the time required for cutting and minimizing pineapple wastage. Say goodbye to pre-cut pineapple and let’s get started!

Follow the step-by-step guide below for cutting a pineapple

Step 1: Choose a Ripe Pineapple and Wash 

• Select a ripe pineapple from any fruit shop and rinse it with clean water to remove any dirt.

Step 2: Remove the Pineapple Head (Pineapple Crown)

• Place the pineapple on a cutting board and cut off the crown.

(You can either discard the crown, plant it in your garden, or use it as a decoration)

 

Step 3: Remove the Pineapple Skin

• Use a sharp knife to slice off all the skin from the pineapple.

 

Step 4: Remove the Eyes With a Pineapple Eye Remover Clip

• Take a pineapple eye remover clip and use it to remove each eye from the pineapple.

 

Step 5: Slice and Serve

• Slice the pineapple in half, remove the core, and cut it into your preferred size. 
• Sprinkle some salt.
